D.A. won't prosecute officer for shooting

District Attorney Peter Gilchrist said today that he will not charge the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer who shot and killed a Charlotte man earlier this year, citing credible physical evidence and the testimony of a previously unrevealed witness.
