Concord police are looking for a stolen vehicle that will be difficult to hide.
Police say someone stole a school bus late Tuesday or early Wednesday from an elementary school parking lot. In addition, another bus was vandalized.
Police Maj. Wendell Rummage said the theft happened at Coltrane Webb Elementary School, on Spring Street NW. He said that when drivers and school staff members arrived Wednesday morning, they discovered that Bus No. 44 had been stolen and that someone had sprayed a fire extinguisher inside Bus No. 48.
There are no suspects, police say. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Concord police, at 704-920-5000, or Cabarrus Crime Stoppers, 704-932-7463.
