Three construction workers were injured this morning in a pair of mishaps at sites in Charlotte.
One of the injured employees suffered serious injuries, authorities say.
The first incident happened about 7:30 a.m. at a work site in the 1200 block of West Boulevard. Eric Morrison, a spokesman for Medic, Mecklenburg County's emergency medical service agency, said a worker suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a fall.
That victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
The second incident was shortly before 9:30 a.m., at College and Trade streets in the uptown area. Morrison said construction materials fell on a pair of workers at the site. The two injured men were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, Morrison said, but he added that their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
