Aiken County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Michael Frank died Saturday afternoon in a single-car accident in Georgia, officials said.
Frank was returning from refereeing a hockey game in Augusta and was off-duty at the time.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
He was a 13-year veteran of the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and served as the agency’s public information officer.
