So would Bobcats director of player personnel Buzz Peterson look to return to college coaching?

Peterson was in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this week, and according to a Bobcats spokesman, he was in Texas vacationing with family between scouting assignments.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that Peterson spoke with Texas Christian athletics director Danny Morrison about that school's opening for a men's basketball coach.

Peterson and Morrison have ties to the Southern Conference -- Morrison was Southern Conference commissioner and athletics director at Wofford. Peterson coached at Appalachian State, along with Coastal Carolina, Tennessee and Tulsa.

According to Bobcats spokesman B.J. Evans, Peterson isn't looking to leave the Bobcats for TCU. Peterson is in his first year in the NBA, working for close friend and former North Carolina teammate Michael Jordan. Jordan is Bobcats part-owner, with control of basketball operations. Observations
