New home for church
On April 20, after more than one decade of planning and hard work, Huntersville United Methodist Church hosted its first worship service in the new Stumptown Road campus. Nearly 700 attended the open house and special worship service and the largest communion in church history.
With more than two dozen classrooms, meeting space and industrial-sized kitchen, the church also made space for two mission projects including Room in the Inn and the North Mecklenburg Food Pantry. The new building will also house a preschool program scheduled to open in the fall.
