It looks like the real Ardrey Kell has stood up. Returning a ton of talent from a 9-4 playoff team, the Knights didn't “get up” for a game with Mallard Creek, which was 1-10 last season.
Thursday night, Ardrey Kell will visit Myers Park in the soccer game of the year in Mecklenburg County. Both teams are unbeaten. Myers Park is ranked No. 3 in the state. Ardrey Kell is No. 9.
Independence High junior Zach Hodges buried his mother Friday afternoon, and he wasn't sure he would play in the Patriots' 49-3 win against West Charlotte until about game time.
